Certified materials and processes for aerospace

By reducing weight, part count, design constraints and supply-chain risk, additive manufacturing is creating new production efficiencies for the aerospace industry. The proof was on display at the 2015 Paris Air Show, where Stratasys highlighted the certified materials and processes that produced components for the new Airbus A350 XWB.

“There are 3D printed parts flying – and a lot more interest [at the Paris Air Show] in talking about the certified materials and processes that go into that.”
